Those who have four finger-prints in National Identity (NID) card have to register their fingerprints once again; however those who have given print of ten-fingers on smart-cards, won’t have to give it again.
AKM Humayun Kabir, Director General, National Identity (NID) Registration Division, revealed this information on Saturday in the quarterly-meeting of Dhaka regional election office held at Election Training Institute in the Capital.
Government will undertake the programme next year, he informed.
Earlier, AKM Humayun Kabir also said this in a monthly coordination meeting held on August 1.
On the meeting he said as according to the law voters need to be updated biometrically, we need to take the initiative in this regard next year.
