Maritime ports in the country have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No.3 by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No. 3, it said on Thursday.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and the deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
According to the BMD, a low-pressure area has formed over east-central Bay and adjoining North Bay. It is likely to intensify.
