The fear in Gaza is growing not just because of the delay announced by Hamas, but also because of the many violations by the Israeli military, including the obstruction of the aid trucks into the Strip, reports Al Jazeera.
People who returned to the north have been waiting for their mobile homes, fuel trucks and other necessities.
People there say, “If the ceasefire had been strong enough, we would have received everything we need.”
But so far, people are still sleeping in the streets or in tents that they had put together, without access to any of the basic supplies that were agreed upon as part of the ceasefire deal.
The Israeli military has also shot dead many Palestinians, including those who happen to have their homes in the eastern part of the Gaza Strip. The Red Cross has been unable to coordinate the recovery of their bodies and some of them have been there for more than a week.
