Iran and the United Arab Emirates called for an immediate end to the Israeli regime’s military strikes against Syria.
In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan talked about the latest regional developments, particularly the situation in Syria, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The two diplomats reviewed the recent developments in Syria and underscored the necessity of safeguarding Syria's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as maintaining the Arab country’s security and stability.
They also called for the immediate cessation of the ground and air assaults by the Zionist regime on Syria.
The conversation further addressed the importance of preserving regional peace and stability and avoiding provocative actions that could disrupt the atmosphere of friendship and cooperation among the regional countries during the current sensitive circumstances.
