Negotiations are ongoing for an extension of the truce deal between Israel and Hamas, possibly involving an extended pause in the fighting.
However, with the current truce set to expire at 7am local time (05:00 GMT), no agreement has yet been announced, reports Al Jazeera.
Meanwhile, 16 captives were freed from Gaza on Wednesday. Qatar said that 10 of the released captives were part of the existing truce deal, while four Thai citizens and two Russian-Israelis were freed separate from that deal.
On the other hand, 30 Palestinian women and children were freed from Israeli prisons in the early hours of Thursday.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has arrived in Tel Aviv on his third trip to the region since October 7.
He is also expected to visit the occupied West Bank.
More than 15,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7.
In Israel, the official death toll stands at 1,200.
