After two consecutive increases, the price of gold in Bangladesh has been reduced by Tk3,324 per bhori, with the new rate for 22-carat gold set at Tk267,106 per bhori (11.664 grams).
The Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the BAJUS made the decision at a meeting held at 9:30 am on Thursday.
BAJUS said the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) declined in the local market, prompting the adjustment.
Under the new pricing structure, 22-carat gold has been fixed at Tk267,106 per bhori.
According to BAJUS, the new prices came into effect from 10:00 am today.
