Remittance inflow to Bangladesh rose by 19.5 percent year-on-year to US$3.02 billion in February, according to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank, reports BSS.
Expatriate Bangladeshis had sent home $2.53 billion during the same month of the previous year.
During the July–February period of the 2025–26 fiscal year, total remittance inflows reached $22.45 billion, marking a significant increase from $18.49 billion recorded in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The continued growth in remittance earnings remains a vital source of support for the country’s foreign exchange reserves and overall economic stability.
