The market situation is satisfactory, said Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir.
He told this to the reporters after visiting the capital's Mohammadpur Town Hall market on Monday afternoon.
The Commerce Minister said, “There is adequate supply of goods in the market. But some people are trying to take advantage of the month of Ramadan. The law will take its own course against those involved in price gouging.”
The minister also said, “Various plans have been taken to make the market completely normal and comfortable for buyers. However, it will take some time to implement them.”
