Remittance inflows to Bangladesh grew by 20.6% year-on-year, reaching US$2,308 million in the first 21 days of February, according to data released by the Bangladesh Bank on February 22.
During the same period last year, the country received US$1,913 million in remittances.
From July 1 to February 21 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent a total of US$21,741 million, up from US$17,875 million in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, reflecting continued growth in foreign remittance inflows.
