Furnace oil price slashed by Tk 14.90 per litre

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of furnace oil by Tk 14.90 per litre, setting the new rate at Tk 70.10 per litre, reports BSS.

“From today, the price of furnace oil will be Tk 70.10 per litre, down from Tk 86 across the country,” said Md Nazrul Islam Sarkar, BERC Secretary.

According to a BERC notification, the new price will come into effect from midnight on February 22, 2026.
