Bangladesh has seen a significant 24.5% year-on-year growth in remittance inflow, with expatriates sending a total of US$2,135 million during the first 22 days of November 2025, according to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank (BB).
In the same period last year, remittances amounted to $1,715 million. This increase reflects the continued resilience of the remittance sector despite global economic challenges.
For the period between July 1 and November 22, 2025, expatriates sent a total of $12,284 million, up from $10,653 million during the same period in the previous fiscal year. The steady growth in remittance inflows is seen as a positive indicator for the country's economy, particularly in supporting foreign currency reserves and meeting domestic financial needs.
