Chinese company Geely Auto’s sales exceed 2.17 million units in 2024

Geely Auto has announced a record-breaking 2024 sales of 2.17 million units, marking a 32% year-on-year growth. Its international business saw a significant leap, with exports reaching 403,923 units—up 53% from the previous year. The company authority claimed this huge sales on Monday in a press statement.

In 2024, Geely Auto strengthened its global presence, expanding into over 80 countries and regions. The company entered more than 10 new markets and further solidified its position in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. This growth was fueled by the successful launch of 16 new models across 40+ countries, underscoring Geely’s dedication to delivering high-value vehicles and exceptional customer experiences worldwide.

Geely Auto also made significant strides in its global network, increasing its sales and service locations by 69% to nearly 900 by the end of 2024. The company built two new factories in Asia and Africa and launched four subsidiaries in Indonesia, Australia, the Philippines, and Chile to improve local market access. Additionally, a cutting-edge global parts network, supported by a central hub and five strategic overseas facilities, has been established to streamline its supply chain.

Key models played a pivotal role in driving Geely's success. The Coolray reached a milestone of 1 million units sold, securing a Top 3 position in its segment across six major markets. The Monjaro saw a 150% year-over-year export surge, highlighting strong demand for its luxurious design and performance. The Emgrand maintained its dominance, ranking among the top three A-sedan models in nine key markets. The Geely EX5 also garnered global attention, showcased at events like Automechanika Frankfurt, the Thailand Auto Expo, and the Hong Kong IMXPO.

In 2024, Geely’s global customer base surpassed 16 million, with a continued focus on product innovation, operational excellence, and brand development. The company’s 'multi-energy' strategy, which includes internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, electric, and methanol vehicles, ensures tailored solutions for diverse markets.

Geely Auto remains committed to social responsibility through a variety of initiatives. These include charity projects in Europe, welfare programs in Latin America, and a vehicle recycling initiative in Africa, all demonstrating the company’s dedication to making a positive impact globally.

Looking ahead to 2025, Geely Auto aims for even greater success, targeting 2.71 million units in global sales and further advancing its operational systems, business capabilities, product strategies, and after-sales services.
