A Dhaka court on Sunday placed BNP organising secretary Emran Saleh Prince on a three-day remand in a case filed with Paltan Police Station on charge of snatching a pistol and vandalising police's liberation war museum.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam's court passed the order.
Earlier, the investigation officer of the case and sub-inspector of Paltan Police Station Farhad Matbar produced Prince before the court and pleaded seven-day remand.
On the other hand, accused counsel Advocate Syed Zainul Abedin Mesbah sought cancellation of remand and bail.
Hearing the arguments of both sides, the court finally placed Prince on a three-day remand.
