25 detained with drugs in city

Police detained 25 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (October 20).                 

Police arrested them from 6:00 am Thursday to Friday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.   

A total of 10,504 pieces of yaba, 24 grams of heroin, and 22 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.   

Twenty-one cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
