The Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) on Thursday launched Robolution 2025, its flagship national robotics festival, alongside the 4th IEEE International Conference on Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Internet-of-Things (RAAICON).
Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez, BSP, commandant of MIST, inaugurated the twin events as chief guest at the campus in Mirpur, according to a press release.
Organised by the MIST Robotics Club, Robolution brings together students from schools, colleges and universities to showcase projects and compete in a series of engineering challenges. The programme serves as a national platform for young talent in robotics and automation.
Parallel to Robolution, the 4th IEEE International Conference on Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence & Internet-of-Things (RAAICON) was also held, focusing on advanced technological sessions and keynote speeches.
The event featured multiple competitions, including Battle of Bots, Line Following Race, Soccer Bot, Cosmo Clench, Valorant Gaming Competition, VLSI Design, and Arduino Code Challenge, taking place at various venues within the MIST campus. The activities aimed to test participants’ engineering capabilities and foster collaboration among young innovators.
The IEEE conference sessions were interspersed with Robolution’s events, encompassing technical presentations and keynote addresses related to robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and IoT. Organized jointly by the MIST Robotics Club and IEEE Bangladesh Sections, these events provide a significant opportunity for the academic and professional community to engage in emerging technologies and innovation.
