PayPal announced on Wednesday that it is re-launching operations in the United Kingdom, nearly two years after restructuring its services there in the wake of Brexit, reports Reuters.
The digital payments company said its UK customers will once again be able to shop online and in stores using a refreshed suite of financial products, including debit and credit cards and access to the PayPal+ loyalty programme.
According to the company, the new PayPal debit card can be used globally without transaction fees, while the credit card and rewards program are designed to enhance flexibility and convenience for both online shoppers and in-person payments.
The relaunch marks PayPal’s renewed focus on one of its largest European markets after a period of operational restructuring and regulatory realignment following the UK’s exit from the European Union.
