Musk says xAI open sources Grok 2.5

Elon Musk said Saturday that his AI startup xAI has released its Grok 2.5 model as open source and intends to do the same with Grok 3 within about six months, according to a post on X on Saturday.

Grok is xAI’s large language model.

Musk’s statement did not specify any release date for Grok 3.
