Pathao, one of Bangladesh’s largest digital platforms, has announced the launch of Pathao Pay, a next-generation digital wallet designed to redefine how users transact, access, and manage money in their everyday lives — under the tagline “Your YOUniverse, Your Way”.
With Pathao Pay, users can seamlessly handle their everyday finances, whether it’s ordering food, booking rides, splitting dinner bills, or sending money to friends.
The new app offers a range of smart, user-centric features — including “Pay Tag” for receiving payments and crowdfunding, “Split Pay” for dividing bills, “Group Send Money” for one-tap bulk transfers, and “Auto-Pay” for frictionless payments with trusted merchants — making transactions faster, smarter, and hassle-free.
Users can also enjoy instant mobile recharges directly through the app. To unlock the journey, users can add money to their Pathao Pay balance using Visa, Mastercard, AMEX debit and credit cards and Nagad.
Moreover, Pathao has added a punch for users by introducing the “Pathao Pay Card” — a Mastercard-powered multi-currency card backed by Mutual Trust Bank PLC.
Additionally, users can enjoy cashback facilities of up to Tk 3,000 throughout the month, when they pay for regular services like bike rides, car hires, food orders, and parcel deliveries using the platform.
To enjoy this cashback facility, sign up and pay for your favourite Pathao service with Pathao Pay.
The integrated payment system is designed to enhance convenience and add value to everyday transactions within the Pathao ecosystem.
Depending on the payment method, cashback is either credited instantly or on a daily basis. The benefits are automatically applied to eligible purchases made through Pathao Pay.
To further promote its digital finance services, Pathao is also giving away a free physical card, powered by Mastercard, to all new Pathao Pay users.
This move marks the company’s broader shift from being solely a mobility and delivery service to becoming a player in digital financial services.
