Google has introduced Doppl, a new experimental mobile app that lets users virtually try on clothing using AI-generated visuals of their own bodies.
Available now in the U.S. on iOS and Android, Doppl creates a digital avatar from a full-body photo and allows users to overlay outfits sourced from images or screenshots.
The app goes beyond static previews, offering AI-generated videos that show how clothes move and fit in motion. Users can save favorite looks, build a personal try-on archive, and share styles with others.
Doppl marks Google’s first standalone platform for virtual try-ons, expanding on its existing fashion tools under Google Shopping. While previous tools displayed outfits on preset model types, Doppl personalizes the experience with custom avatars.
As part of Google Labs, Doppl remains experimental. The company cautions that results may vary in accuracy regarding fit and fabric detail. No word yet on international availability.
