The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has introduced AI-powered employees, leveraging Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to transform everyday operations. This advanced system combines machine learning and content recognition to reduce task completion times from 24 hours to only two minutes.
Majid Sultan Al Meheiri, DHA's Director of IT, emphasized the technology's game-changing impact:
“The system is reshaping workflows, boosting efficiency, and streamlining operations. We’re proud to be the first organization to implement this innovation in daily tasks.”
Currently, DHA uses two RPA systems across ten services, with plans to expand by adding two more later this year. These virtual employees handle repetitive tasks, allowing human staff to focus on more creative and strategic roles.
For instance, medical report validation, which used to take an entire day, is now completed in just two minutes with AI-powered content recognition. Likewise, HR processes such as managing employee files and sending renewal reminders have been automated, giving HR staff more time for impactful work.
Al Meheiri noted that the AI-enhanced RPA system can analyze data, identify patterns, and validate documents with high accuracy—handling everything from handwritten notes to scanned images. “These bots are scalable, adaptable, and function independently, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all DHA operations,” he said.
The integration of AI and RPA is a significant leap in Dubai’s ongoing commitment to innovation, demonstrating how technology can transform routine tasks and elevate overall efficiency.
