Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has asked the mobile operators to limit the number of package within 40 out of 95.
On September 3, the BTRC has asked the mobile operators to close the 3-day and 15-day long internet data package from October 15.
Replying to a question whether the price of internet package will increase further, BTRC Commissioner Dr Musfiq Mannan Choudhury said there will be no impact on the people of low income group. Customers will avail the opportunity if the expiry of internet data increases. But there is no chance to hike price. Even the number of internet package will not decline. Customers will have option to choose internet package, reports Daily Sun.
Meanwhile, the BTRC has cancelled the licence of 14 internet service providers (ISP) for not renewing their licence on time.
As per the information of the BTRC, the organizations whose licence were revoked are asked to submit their licence to the telecom regulator.
