The Gulshan Club Olympiad 2025, one of the country’s largest inter-club sports festivals, is set to begin with a message of social bonding, sportsmanship and unity.
Gulshan Club Limited officially announced the event on Saturday.
The Olympiad Committee, journalists, media personalities, sports and business leaders and club members were present at a press conference held at the Crystal Palace of Gulshan Club on Saturday afternoon.
Olympiad Committee Chairman Tarek Rahman said that 24 teams from 22 top clubs of the country and more than 1,200 athletes will participate in this year’s event in 18 sports and 34 categories.
He said, “The Gulshan Club Olympiad was started in 2019 with the aim of building camaraderie among social clubs. Now it has become a tradition of celebrating sporting excellence and friendship.”
Gulshan Club President M. A. Quader (Anu) said that Gulshan Club has always been committed to enriching the lives of its members through family-friendly, sports-centric and community-oriented activities.
“The Olympiad encourages the younger generation to get involved in sports and live a healthy and balanced life alongside their professional lives,” he added.
The organizing partners include Standard Chartered Bank (Diamond Partner), Prime Bank PLC (Platinum Partner), BRAC Bank PLC (Gold Partner), Mutual Trust Bank PLC (Silver Partner), T Sports (Broadcasting Partner) and Daur (Jersey Partner).
The organizing committee has informed everyone at the press conference that this event is not just a sports competition but will also serve as a unique platform to strengthen friendship, unity and mutual relations among club members.
