Australia Women produced a flawless display of batting and bowling to beat Bangladesh Women by 10 wickets in their Women’s World Cup match on Thursday, chasing down a target of 199 without losing a single wicket, reports the Daily Sun.

The world champions reached 202/0 in just 24.5 overs, leaving 151 balls unused, underlining their superiority.

Australian openers, Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield, dominated the chase from the outset. Healy scored a commanding 113 not out from 77 balls, dispatching 20 fours with exquisite timing. Litchfield complemented her perfectly, contributing 84 runs off 72 balls, hitting 12 boundaries and a six.

The pair’s clinical partnership left the Bangladeshi bowlers with no answers and ensured that Australia’s innings remained completely untroubled.

Bangladesh, batting first, struggled to build meaningful partnerships against a disciplined Australian attack. The innings was anchored by Sobhana Mostary, who scored a resilient 66 not out from 80 deliveries, including nine boundaries, showcasing composure under pressure. Rubya Haider contributed 44 runs from 59 balls, hitting eight fours, while Sharmin Akhter made 19.

Captain Nigar Sultana added a sluggish 12 before being stumped by Healy off Alana King’s bowling.

The rest of the batting line-up failed to make a significant impact. Shorna Akter scored seven, Ritu Moni two, Fahima Khatun four, Rabeya Khan six, and Nishita Akter one.

Australia’s bowlers were clinical throughout.

Alana King led the charge with 2/18 from 10 overs, while Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham also claimed two wickets each. Ashleigh Gardner took 2/48, and Megan Schutt struck early to remove Farzana Hoque for eight, applying constant pressure.

Despite Sobhana Mostary’s resilient knock, Bangladesh could not capitalise on any partnerships, and the world champions' dominance with both bat and ball ensured a one-sided match. Australia’s flawless execution highlighted the gulf in experience and skill between the two sides, with Bangladesh left searching for answers ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
