The Afghanistan Under-19 cricket team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on October 20 to play a five-match Youth ODI series (YODIS) against the Bangladesh Under-17 side.
The series is expected to offer valuable exposure and experience for the young Bangladeshi cricketers as they prepare for future international challenges.
The first two matches will take place at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura on October 28 and 31, while the remaining three fixtures are scheduled at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium on November 3, 6, and 9.
The series will serve as a key test of Bangladesh’s depth and talent in the youth circuit as they take on a strong Afghan outfit ahead of the ICC Under-19 World Cup, set to be jointly hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to announce the home squad for the series but is expected to do so soon. The hosts will look to make full use of home conditions and continue their impressive record in youth-level cricket.
