No Shakib-Liton in Bangladesh's squad for Champions Trophy

Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Kumer Das missed out as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced the squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Captain Najmul Hossain and experienced campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim returned from injury after missing the West Indies tour in November-December.

Apart from the duo, Tawhid Hridoy and Mustafizur Rahman also made a return to the squad as the former missed the West Indies tour due to injury while the latter skipped the tour for personal reason.

Afif Hossain, Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud failed to retain their spot.

Squad for Champions Trophy:

Najmul Hossain (c), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Soumya Sarkar, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan, Jaker Ali Anik, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Nahid Rana, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.
