Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in opening test of two-match test series against South Africa.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, skipper of Bangladesh cricket team went for toss on Monday ahead of the match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Shanto choose to bat first as the pitch seems dry and it would be tough to bat in the fourth innings.
Shanto expressed his hope, saying, “It can happen in cricket, the way we played against Pakistan was impressive. We have experience and we are looking forward to play here.”
It wouldn’t be easy for South Africa as most of the players are doing preparation since the India series.
The captain said, “We are ready.”
