A Dhaka court on Wednesday has issued an arrest warrant for Bangladesh national team cricketer Al-Amin Hossain for non-appearance, in a case filed by his wife over domestic violence.
Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Tofazzal Hossain passed the order since Al-Amin did not appear before the court during Wednesday’s hearing.
Al-Amin's legal counsel Abdur Rahman told the media that the accused was participating in a four-day match of the National Cricket League in Khulna which started on October 10.
Earlier, the accused got bail through his lawyer on October 6. He also submitted a written statement to the court, claiming he divorced his wife on August 25.
