Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is organizing a cultural event titled ‘Chandrat’s Eid Ananda Utsav’ for the people of Dhaka.
According to media reports, the academy's Music, Dance and Recitation Department is organizing it at 6:30 pm today, Friday.
Musicians Dil Ruba Khan, Baby Naznin, Nancy, Piyal Hasan, Nolak Babu, Animesh Roy, Ananya Acharya and Samir Kawal will perform at the academy's open-air stage.
Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Secretary Mofidur Rahman will be present as the chief guest at the event and Academy Director General Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed will preside.
Regarding the event, Director General and poet Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed said, “It is necessary to celebrate the festivals of all religions and ethnic groups with importance to build an inclusive and harmonious society.”
Rezauddin Ahmed said that this event has been organized with the aim of building a democratic society based on mutual respect, compassion and unity, and everyone's active participation is sought.
The event is open to everyone. Mehndi Corner will be open for visitors.
