Popular small-screen actor Sabila Nur is set to reunite with Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan on the big screen once again. The actress has reportedly been finalised as the heroine of the upcoming film “Rockstar.” Multiple sources close to the production company confirmed the development.
According to the sources, the filmmakers initially planned to introduce a new face for the role. However, due to time constraints, they decided not to take the risk and finalised Sabila Nur at the last moment on Wednesday.
Sabila previously shared the screen with Shakib Khan in the film “Taandob.” “Rockstar” will mark their second on-screen collaboration.
The film is said to be a romantic musical, with no action sequences. Shooting is scheduled to begin in Malaysia on 22 March and continue until 27 March. After that, the production will move to Dhaka for a continuous shooting schedule from 2 April to 5 May.
Directed by Azman Russo, the film will also feature Tanzia Zaman Methila among others. If all goes as planned, “Rockstar” is expected to hit theatres during Eid-ul-Azha.
