The official teaser for the highly anticipated film “Bonolota Express,” directed by Tanim Noor, was released on social media March 4. Since its debut, the teaser has taken the internet by storm, receiving an overwhelming response from audience across the country. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release across Bangladesh this Eid-ul-Fitr.
The 1-minute and 21-second teaser beautifully captures the essence of a foggy December afternoon in 2007 at Kamalapur Railway Station. It offers a hauntingly mesmerizing glimpse into the world inside the Bonolota Express, evoking a deep sense of nostalgia. The teaser masterfully blends the magical aura of Humayun Ahmed’s timeless novel “Kichukkhon” with an underlying layer of mystery.
The film follows a diverse group of passengers whose lives intersect on this fateful train journey. From Dr. Ashhab, traveling with his mentally ill mother, to the free-spirited Chitra on a quest for the unknown; from the eccentric traveler Rashid Uddin to the powerful Education Minister Abul Khayer Khan-everyone is a passenger on this express. Though they share the same destination, this single journey is destined to change the course of their lives forever.
The casting of “Bonolota Express” has been a major talking point since its announcement. The film boasts a powerhouse of talent, including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sariful Razz, Sabila Nur, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Zakia Bari Mamo, Intekhab Dinar, Shamol Mawla, Shamima Nazneen, Tridha Pal Maan, AK Azad Shetu, Sifat Rahman, Tamim Karim, Labonno Chowdhury, Sabrina Azad, and Arefin Jilani, among many others.
Presented by UCB, the film is produced by Buriganga Talkies in co-production with hoichoi studios, with overall support from DOPE.
