Emdad H Bhuiyan (Raju), who has been living in the United States for nearly two decades, has brought a real-life story of friendship to the screen through a special drama titled “Fram-e Badha Bondhurta.”
Raju moved to the United States on 22 August 2006. During that time, he met Sobahan from Shariatpur through work, and the two gradually developed a close friendship. Sobahan played an important role in Raju’s life, teaching him many aspects of work and life abroad. However, in 2007, Sobahan passed away after taking his own life, a loss that deeply affected Raju.
To express his gratitude and keep the memory of his friend alive, Raju wrote the story based on their experiences. The drama was produced by Naeem Imtiaz Neyamul, while shooting was completed in the United States several months ago.
Raju himself appears in the lead role, portraying his own character. Film actor Mamnun Emon plays the role of Sobahan, whose character in the drama is named Arnab. Another important role, Maya, is portrayed by popular heroine Adhora Khan.
This project also marks Adhora Khan’s first appearance in a television drama. She said her character is completely negative and that she took the role as an opportunity to experiment with a different type of performance.
The drama has also been produced by Raju and is scheduled to be aired on his television channel, “NY Seventy One,” on the occasion of the upcoming Eid.
