After winning hearts with his music, popular singer Hridoy Khan is now exploring a new artistic path. This time, he makes his debut as an actor.
In the recently released short film, Hridoy Khan stars opposite expatriate actress Mozeza Ashraf Monalisa.
The nearly 30-minute short film is set in New York City and is titled “Trapped”.
Filled with dramatic mystery, some scenes from the film were shared by Hridoy Khan on his Facebook page, where he wrote in the caption: “Freedom is a cruel thing when the wrong people offer it to you.”
The story portrays how a young man named Hridoy becomes entangled with the underworld in New York. Although he tries to escape the trap, he ultimately fails to free himself.
Hridoy Khan shared that the project has been released on YouTube, marking his dual role as actor and director, with the story inspired by his own life.
Speaking about the new project, Hridoy said, “A lot of time went into making this work. I hope audiences will appreciate the film.”
Through this short film, Monalisa has returned to acting after a long break and is seen opposite Hridoy Khan on screen. Along with Hridoy Khan and Monalisa, several local New York artists have also performed in the film.
