Tangia Zaman Methila began her journey in the spotlight as a ramp model. She made her acting debut in 2019 with Indian director Haider Khan’s film ‘Rohingya’. That same year, she claimed the titles of “Face of Bangladesh” and “Face of Asia.”
In 2020, she was crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh—and after years of preparation, she secured the crown once again in 2025.
On 2 November, she flew to Thailand to participate in the global Miss Universe competition.
Now Methila’s strong performance in the People’s Choice voting has boosted her confidence. Amid fluctuating rankings, she shared, “I was at number one, now Bangladesh is at number two. Can you believe it? We’ve shown how far Bangladeshis can go if they want. Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the last day—I hope Bangladesh returns to number one. Nothing is impossible when people show love.”
Voting for the People’s Choice category ends today. With enough public support, Bangladeshis can help Mithila secure the top spot. Fans simply need to open the Miss Universe app, select Bangladesh, tap “Get Vote,” choose the People’s Choice section, and select Tangia Zaman Methila. Being number one in People’s Choice guarantees her a direct entry into the Top 30.
The final results of Miss Universe 2025 will be announced on 21 November.
Miss Universe is an annual international major beauty pageant that is run by the Thailand and Mexican-based Miss Universe Organization. Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four beauty pageants.

The Miss Universe Organization covers all expenses of the winner for the entire year following her crowning.

2. Luxury New York Apartment
The winner lives in a luxurious apartment provided by the Miss Universe organization in New York City for one year. Miss Universe USA winners, however, get permanent residency.
3. Private Jet and All Expenses Covered
For the next 12 months, Miss Universe doesn't have to worry about groceries, food, clothing, beauty products, or any personal expenses—the organization covers it all. She also receives access to a private jet, which she can use to travel anywhere in the world with prior approval from the organization. All travel arrangements, hotel stays, meals, photoshoots, and press events are fully managed by Miss Universe officials.

In the 2025 edition of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Universe, the winner will receive the “Force of Good” crown. The crown features 110 carats of sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds, with an estimated value of $5.75 million—around Tk 67 crore in Bangladeshi currency.
