Popular rock star James and Pakistani Sufi-rock artist Ali Azmat's concert has been postponed due to lack of permission.
The event titled 'Legends Live in Dhaka' has been postponed by the organizers after the local administration did not give the necessary permission.
The concert's organizer, Assen Communication, confirmed this information in an urgent notice on social media Facebook on Friday.
The organization said, "Due to some unavoidable circumstances, today's show 'Ali Azmat x James - Legends Live in Dhaka' has been postponed."
The organizer also said that they are trying to organize the concert as soon as possible. The event had to be canceled due to lack of necessary government permission.
In the notice, Assen Communication thanked ticket buyers, sponsors and stall owners for their patience. Details about the new date and venue of the concert will be announced very soon. Ticket buyers can use their tickets on the new date or get a refund.
The first self-titled album of Sufi band Junoon was released in 1991. Since then, the band has released a total of 9 albums, including 'Talash', 'Inquilab', and 'Azadi'. Ali Azmat has been with Junoon since the beginning. Along with the band, he has also sung solo in Bollywood.
The concert was organized by Assen Communication at the United Convention Center in Kurmitola, Dhaka, on Friday evening.
