Following the release of “Jongli,” popular actress Shobnom Bubly took a break from signing new film projects, leaving fans anticipating her next big-screen role. That wait is finally over, the talented artiste is returning with a new film titled “Dhakaiya Devdas.”
In this romantic drama, Bubly takes on the central role opposite Ador Azad, under the direction of Zahid Hossain. The director shared that the movie tells a modern story of love, heartbreak, and the complexities of relationships.
“Ador Azad plays the role of a modern-day failed lover, while Bubly portrays the female lead who drives the emotional core of the story,” Zahid said.
“The movie kicked off its shooting in the capital on Friday after the official announcement of the project,” he added.
Speaking at the announcement event, Bubly expressed her excitement: “Just hearing the name Dhakaiya Devdas gives you an idea of its story. It’s a beautiful, well-organised film about love and separation—quite different from today’s action-packed movies. I believe audience will love it.”
Ador Azad, who previously worked with Bubly in several hits, shared his enthusiasm about reuniting with her: “Bubly is a talented artiste, and it’s always great to collaborate with her. We’re working together again because the story demands it. I believe audience will enjoy our chemistry in Dhakaiya Devdas.”
The director added that Bubly and Ador’s on-screen chemistry will be “more intense and emotionally engaging” than in their previous works, bringing a unique charm to the film.
The pair has previously starred together in Talash, Local, Pinik, and Khela Hobe — and fans are eager to see them reunite on screen.
Meanwhile, Bubly is also trending for her glamorous new photoshoot, where she stunned fans with her “Hollywood diva” look. Donning an off-shoulder white floral top and black gown while posing on the bonnet of a luxury sports car, she exuded elegance and confidence.
Although the photoshoot was part of a promotional campaign for a beauty parlor, Bubly’s dazzling presence has given it a whole new dimension.
