The Inter-Education Board has announced the timetable for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams. The theoretical exams are set to begin on June 26 and conclude on August 10, while the practical exams will run from August 11 to August 21.
The schedule, approved by Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Chairman of the Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee and Controller of Examinations at the Dhaka Education Board, was published on Wednesday.
Special instructions for candidates:
Candidates must be seated in the exam hall at least 30 minutes prior to the exam's start. The exam will begin with the multiple-choice section, followed by the creative/descriptive (theoretical) part. The 30-mark multiple-choice (MCQ) exam will last 30 minutes, while the 70-mark creative (CQ) exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
For practical subject exams, the 25-mark multiple-choice exam will be allotted 25 minutes, while the 50-mark creative exam will have a duration of 2 hours and 35 minutes.
The exams will be conducted continuously for the duration specified in the question papers. There will be no break between the MCQ and CQ sections.
For morning exams starting at 10:00 AM, answer sheets and multiple-choice OMR sheets will be distributed at 9:30 AM, and multiple-choice question paper will be handed out at 10:00 AM.
The multiple-choice answer sheets will be collected at 10:30 AM, and the creative question paper will be distributed at that time. (For the 25-mark MCQ exam, this will happen at 10:25 AM.)
For afternoon exams starting at 2:00 PM, answer sheets and multiple-choice OMR sheets will be distributed at 1:30 PM, and multiple-choice question paper will be handed out at 2:00 PM.
The multiple-choice answer sheets will be collected at 2:30 PM, and the creative question paper will be distributed at that time. (For the 25-mark MCQ exam, this will happen at 2:25 PM.)
The exam must be held as per the timings mentioned in the question paper. Candidates are required to collect their admit cards from the head of their respective institutions.
Each candidate must properly fill in their exam roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., on the provided answer sheet and OMR form. Under no circumstances should answers be written in the margins, nor should the answer sheet be folded for any reason.
Candidates must pass separately in the theoretical, multiple-choice, and practical sections (where applicable).
Each candidate can only participate in exams for the subjects listed on their registration card and admit card. They cannot appear for exams in any other subjects.
If a candidate's exam is not held at their own college/institution, they will be assigned a new seat through the transfer process.
Candidates are allowed to use general scientific calculators in the exam. Programming calculators are not permitted.
Except for the officer in charge of the exam center, no one else is allowed to use mobile phones, and no candidate is allowed to bring a mobile phone into the exam center.
