Jatiya Nagarik Committee has held a protest march and rally against the attack and torture on students by Awami League leaders and activists at the house of former minister Mozammel Haque in Gazipur.
This program was held in front of the deputy commissioner's office on Rajbari Road in Gazipur city this Saturday morning. Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and Sarjis Alam, coordinator of the movement, joined the rally.
Leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Shibir, and Jatiya Nagorik Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement were present at the protest rally.
Ali Naser Khan, central organizer of Jatiya Nagorik Committee, said at the protest rally organized by the Gazipur district and metropolitan branches that those involved in the attack on students and the public at the house of former minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Friday night should be arrested quickly and given exemplary punishment under the Speedy Trial Act.
Jatiya Nagorik Committee leader Shakib, central member M Shoiab, Gazipur Metropolitan Gacha Police Station branch member Master Anisur Rahman, Kaliakoir branch member Sumon Bari and central committee member Nabir Yusuf spoke at the rally.
At that time, the speakers said, "The murderers AKM Mozammel and Jahangir and Awami League terrorists attacked and killed students in Gazipur. At that time, the police administration's cooperation was not available. Therefore, I demand the withdrawal of the police commissioner and deputy commissioner from this rally. The friends of the fallen government must be tried on the land of Bangla."
