BNP Standing Committee Member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain on Tuesday said that delaying the election on the pretext of reforms will not be a wise decision for the interim government.
“I suspect that a faction is trying to delay the election in the name of reforms but it will not be a wise decision. The more the election is delayed, the more the conspiracy will be widened,” he said.
While addressing a divisional workshop in Cumilla, Mosharraf also called upon the government to announce a roadmap for the 13th parliamentary election shortly after completing the necessary reforms.
Claiming that the interim government will not be able to carry out reforms in all sectors, he said a political government is a must to ensure reforms in all state organs.
The formation of a political government through an immediate election is a prime expectation of the countrymen, he said.
