The “Youth Festival-2025” was celebrated with a Cultural Soiree at the premises of Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad on Thursday.
The presence of Bangladeshi and Pakistani youths at the high commission and their slogan “Let's change the country, change the world” made a memorable moment for all, according to a media release.
Md. Rezaul Maksud Jahedi, secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest at the event.
Ms Ambreen Jan, secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, attended as the guest of honour, while Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, high commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan, presided over the inter-cultural event.
Expatriate Bangladeshis, students, and youth from both countries, along with diplomats, high commission officials, and their family members, attended the event. Dances and music were performed by young artists from Bangladesh and Pakistan.
In their speech, the chief guest, the guest of honour, the high commissioner and young representatives from Bangladesh expressed their commitment to foster a discrimination-free and prosperous Bangladesh.
