The interim government is not taking a good view of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's use of mobile phone to talk with the partymen or making statements after fleeing to India in the face of the students’ movement.
In a briefing on Thursday, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Taufiq Hasan gave this information.
He said, "Dhaka does not see the former prime minister using mobile phones or making statements from India. This has been repeatedly conveyed to Delhi. Till now nothing has been officially communicated from Delhi.”
Taufiq Hasan said, "The interim government does not like the way Sheikh Hasina is giving statements in the Indian media. India has been requested that Sheikh Hasina cannot give speeches while staying in India. The Indian ambassador said they will look into the matter.
Taufiq also said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs still does not know how many people of the previous Awami League government are staying in India.
Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 and fled to India in the face of intense student movement. She currently resides in Delhi. After the ouster of the government, there have been hundreds of murder cases filed in the name of Sheikh Hasina in different parts of the country.
