Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Thursday met Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev at the COP29 climate summit venue in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest.
Earlier, Non-Resident Ambassador of Azerbaijan Elchin Huseynli in a meeting with Prof Yunus stressed the need for deeper trade ties between two countries on October 22 last.
He also said Baku is seeking "new opportunities" and ways for opening up doors for more businesses.
Azerbaijan sought to sign an air services agreement with Bangladesh, he added.
Prof Yunus is expected to return home at 8:00 pm today (November 14) after wrapping up his state visit to Baku to join the global climate meet titled "Conference of Parties-29 (COP29)", said Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.
