Bangladesh recorded 10 deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours, reports UNB.
According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed information on Tuesday, some 2,584 people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease at the same time.
Of the new patients, 1,131 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it, said DGHS.
A total of 9,264 dengue patients, including 4,869 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 54,416 dengue cases and 44,891 recoveries this year.
The official death toll from dengue rises to 261 this year.
