Jatiya Press Club (JPC) President Farida Yasmin and General Secretary Shyamal Dutta paid a country call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital on Monday.
The two leaders greeted the prime minister with a flower bouquet.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the 21-storied Bangabandhu Media Complex at Jatiya Press Club.
They also sought the prime minister’s continuous cooperation for the development of the press club.
Assuring her support to the media, Sheikh Hasina hoped that the media would play a more responsible role in the country.
