Shahadab Akbar takes oath at Parliament

Newly elected lawmaker from the Faridpur-2 constituency Shahadab Akbar took the oath at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Tuesday.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath.

Shahadab Akbar elected in the by-poll with the ruling Awami League's ticket.

Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat KM Abdus Salam conducted the swearing-in ceremony while Whips - Iqbalur Rahim and Abu Sayeed Al Mahmood Swapon and adhering senior officials, were present.

Faridpur-2 constituency fell vacant following the death of Deputy Leader of the Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury on September 11.
