Former State Minister for Environment and Forest and Chattogram South district BNP former president Jafrul Islam Chowdhury passed away at a Chattogram hospital on Tuesday.
He was 72.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock on behalf of the party over Jafrul Islam’s death.
He also sought the salvation of the departed soul.
