An arrest warrant has been issued against BNP’s acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman in a corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Dhaka Metropolitan Session Court Judge Md Asaduzzaman issued the arrest warrant on Tuesday after accepting the charge sheet, ACC counsel Mosharraf Hossain Kajol confirmed the matter to the media.

Earlier on June 26, the High Court declared Tarique Rahman and his wife Zubaida Rahman as "fugitives".
