Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) held a views-exchange meeting in Cox's Bazar on Sunday to learn about the opportunities and challenges of the local gold traders.
On behalf of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Bangladesh Pratidin Business Editor Ruhul Amin Rasel received a souvenir from the district unit of the association, said a press release.
BAJUS former President Dilip Kumar Roy was present as the chief guest at the function at Radiant Fish World in the beach town. Cox’s Bazar District Unit President Subhash Dhar chaired the meeting.
In his speech, Dr Dilip Roy said BAJUS members are determined to contribute to the country's economy with the support of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
BAJUS district monitoring committee member Pabitra Chandra Ghosh and Cox’s Bazar unit general secretary Osman Gani were also present on the occasion.
Ramu upazila representative Rupan Dhar, Teknaf upazila representative Swapan Dhar, Teknaf municipality representative Nibu Rakhine, Ukhia representative Sayan Dhar, Eidgaon area representative Sirajul Haque and Hnila representative Shimul Dhar also spoke at the meeting.
