Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday said BNP can wage movement as her party believes in democracy.
"But, the BNP men who are involved in killing and terrorism, including arson attacks and militancy, would have to face the music. They will not be spared," she said in her introductory speech while presiding over the Awami League central executive committee meeting at her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital, reports BSS and UNB.
The Awami League President said people voted her party to power time and again as they have faith in her party and hoped that they will vote for it this time too.
She said, "But, the people will not vote for the BNP men who are involved in terrorism, killings, arson attacks, plundering of the public wealth, bombs and grenade attacks and money laundering."
Hasina also asked her party leaders and activists to arrange the 22nd council of the party in an ordinary manner to save money due to the current global crisis.
She asked to form a council preparatory committee.
The Premier said there will be no room for the politics of terrorism and militancy in this country.
Referring to arson violence indulged by BNP-Jamaat in 2013-2015, she said they killed people burning them alive, launching arson attacks everywhere including trains, buses, launches and even CNG-run auto rickshaws.
Hasina said the perpetrators have been hiding, but they would come out as BNP is waging movement on the streets.
“They tortured the people. There will be no room for them. The law will take its own course. The law is equal for all,” she added.
