Indian Coast Guard rescues 20 Bangladeshi fishermen

Indian Coast Guard has rescued 20 Bangladeshi fishermen, who went missing after the landfall of cyclone Sitrang, from the sea in a coordinated search and rescue operation, reports BSS.

"In a swift coordinated search & rescue operation, @IndiaCoastGuard rescued 20 Bangladeshi fishermen post-landfall of cyclone #Sitrang. Fishermen will be handed over to #Bangladesh following the existing MoU," it tweeted on Wednesday.

Cyclone Sitrang hits the Bangladesh coastline on Monday and crossed the Barishal-Chattogram coast leaving a trail of devastation in coastal areas.
