All coastal districts have been affected by cyclone Sitrang which hit the country early Tuesday.
Many houses, trees and cropland have been damaged by the cyclonic storm. Low-lying areas of the coastal belt have also been inundated during the storm.
The local administration of 15 coastal districts had relocated more than 2 lakh 19 thousand people to the cyclone shelters. All of them returned to their house after the cyclone.
Meanwhile, the government, the ruling Awami League and its associate organisations are providing relief, food and medical services to the cyclone-affected people.
